Me and this blog
I’m Trix, a multi-creative spiritual witch who really likes creating YouTube videos since I’m very interested in filmmaking and the artistic side of it. I love writing, music and digital art as well! So naturally I like the video format because I can fit all my interests to a complete artwork in that way; music, writing and digital art are different parts of filmmaking…
Lately, I have been missing having a blog, though! So I started this one!
And why do I call myself a witch? I practice witchcraft and is very spiritual. It’s a big part of my life.
On this site, I share what I’m up to.

Frequently asked questions
Personal
What is your real name?
Answer
My real first name is Tricia. However, most people call me Trix and I prefer it that way.
Where are you from?
Answer
I live in Sweden. However, I also have heritage from India and Portugal!
How did you come up with your artist name?
Answer
Trix is a shortened version of Tricia and my nickname in real life. Joyce is a shorter variation of Johansson, which is my real last name.

Mental health:
- Complex Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder – (Autism/ASD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)
Physical disabilities:

In what way(s) do you identify as queer or LGBTQ?
Answer
I’m bisexual/pansexual and came out when I was 13 years old. Later in my early adulthood, I also came to realize that I’m genderqueer. That is on the non-binary spectrum and means that I don’t really care about gender and see myself as more androgynous as a person, so in a sense both man and woman.
Some non-binary people see themselves as neither, but I more often see myself as a mix of both or in the middle of the spectrum.
I’m also in a queer relationship where both of us are afab (assigned female at birth); however, we identify differently when it comes to gender since my boyfriend is a transman.
So what are your pronouns?
Answer
Any pronouns are fine!
Spirituality
What is your religion?
Answer
My religion is Trinitarian Wicca, which is also called Christian Wicca. It blends Wiccan beliefs with Christianity.
Were you born with religious beliefs?
Answer
Yes, I come from a religious family. We are Christian/Catholic. Although never extreme and always left-wing. I didn’t grow up with biblical gender roles or such, which was such a relief! I went to Sunday school and did church activities, though, and I did enjoy it very much!
Education
Why do you study in the unusual field of Metaphysics?
Answer
I decided that if I want to go into higher education, I would only do that if I study something I’m truly passionate about – regardless of possible job outcomes! I’m lucky enough to study for personal interest. However, my goal with my studies is to use them towards independent research. I also want to write books in the metaphysical sciences!
What university do you attend?
Answer
The University of Metaphysical Sciences and the University of Sedona/Metaphysics. Yes, I study for two separate degrees in metaphysics. Why I do that is because the two schools have different focuses, and I simply couldn’t choose which one I wanted, so I went for a double degree.
For a while, I also attended The Open University, but now I have proceeded to just do their CPD courses on OpenLearn together with my university studies.
I was also enrolled in Health Sciences at University of the People, but I decided to wait with that degree for now.
Why is your school not accredited, and do you care about that?
Answer
I study for a religious degree, and even though I’m in academia, the degree I’m studying for is not called an “academic degree”. Religious degrees don’t have any accreditation bodies or the same academic regulations as general academic degrees, which is why the school is not accredited by that standard. However, they are entitled legally to award degrees and titles such as “doctor,” etc, because that can be given to an institution even without that kind of accreditation.
Because of this, it’s up to me as an individual to do my research and to ensure that the materials are good and provide legitimate information. In my opinion, my university does that.
Also, a religious degree is not any less work than an academic degree. They are just called differently and serve different purposes.
I know it’s an entire Wikipedia article about “unaccredited universities” (where mine is listed) and that makes it seem bad, and yes, some of them are diploma mills where you can just buy a degree… However, this is not the case with all religious universities that are unaccredited.
I have to go through exams and do all my work to be awarded my degree, just like anyone at an accredited university would do for an academic degree!
What do you want to do after you have achieved your degree(s)?
Answer
I want to write books about philosophy, spirituality, and metaphysical science, and I want to go into research, which is what I actually already do!
You mention “independent studies” on YouTube. What do you mean by that?

Content creation
What equipment do you use for digital art?
Answer
I have an iPad Pro (6th generation) with the “Procreate” app and the Apple Pencil (2nd generation). Usually I draw just on the iPad, but occasionally, I even draw on my MacBook Air (M2, 13,6 inch) with Adobe Photoshop and my Wacom pen tablet. Sometimes I also connect my iPad to my laptop to use the bigger screen to view my drawings while using the iPad as a pen tablet.
What other equipment do you use for content creation?
Answer
I have two main cameras:
- Sony ZV-1F vlogging camera
- Sony ZV-E10 DSLR film camera with two lenses (zoom + wide angle)
Sometimes I also use my Canon PowerShot V10, which is a small vlogging camera as well!
I (usually) use the following microphones:
- Yeti Blue from Logitech (USB mic)
- RØDE VideoMic Pro (camera mic for DSLR)
But very often I only record with my iPhone (15) and (if I fancy it), a wireless mic from Moobio.
I use the following editing software:
- Wondershare Filmora (for Mac)
- Final Cut Pro (app for iPad Pro)
Other equipment:
- Ringlights (various brands)
- Overhead tripod (for traditional art and plan with me videos)
- Regular tripods (various brands)
Why do you make all your content online in English instead of Swedish?
Answer
Honestly, it feels like there’s no audience for my kind of content in Swedish. It seems like people here aren’t watching bookish, dark academia, witchy vlogs, nor do they enjoy “planning with me” videos, “journaling with me” videos, and it’s overall easier to reach people internationally with this cozy style of videos. It’s more of a “general audience” concern than a “geographically bound” one, and then it makes more sense to speak in English as well.
Also, many Swedes are good at English, and many watch international YouTube videos just as much as Swedish-speaking videos, myself included!
When it comes to content outside of YouTube, I make them mostly in English because my YouTube audience tends to follow me elsewhere, and I want most people to understand my content.
